BRP - 8/31

 BRP 8-31-21

Substantial construction has been completed. We finished sodding our last hole, #16, on 8/27. We now move to a grow-in, fix, and clean-up stage. We have 4 weeks to grow the sod in and get it ready for overseeding. Landscapes Unlimited is not finished yet. They will go back to prior areas and correct small items that need attention. In addition, LU will be going through all the bunkers and checking depths, and spreading the sand out. LU will continue punch list items and cleaning up their areas from construction over the next several weeks.

G&G department continues to landscape the deserts. #14, #13, and part of #12 tee desert is now vegetated. In the next month, we hope to finish 12, 11, and 10 tee deserts.

G&G department continues to trim the small trees in-house. Holes 17,2,3-7 remain. We hope to finish in the next 2-3 weeks.

Contract tree trimming of the large trees began the week of 8/23. The driving range, 1-13, and 18 have been completed. 14-17 will be completed the week of 9/7. The oleanders will start to be trimmed the week of 9/7 and hopefully finished by 9/17. All the concrete in the staging area will be removed and replaced starting the week of 9/7 and will hopefully be complete on 9/17. In addition, multiple broken or heaved panels will be replaced throughout the golf course.

G&G department will begin to prep and replace the outer half of the collars on all greens the week of 9/15. This practice is being performed to reset the Bermuda encroachment into the bentgrass. Replacing the collars will be an ongoing process every couple of years to keep the Bermuda grass out of the putting surfaces. The collars are a buffer to protect the putting surface.
